Delivering personal care and quality service for both you and your horse, Glenworth Valley Horse Agistment offers a wide range of excellent services and facilities and a friendly, social environment for you and your horse.

Glenworth Valley is located just off the M1 an hour north of the Sydney CBD, 20 minutes from Hornsby or Gosford and 1 hour south of Newcastle. 

Horse Agistment Options

Main Riding Agistment

  • Our most popular group agistment.
  • Full access to all riding trails, facilities and services.
  • Improved pastures & access to winter active grasses.  Paddocks are rotated on a weekly basis.
  • From $90 per week (plus worming every 8 weeks)

Small Group Riding Agistment

  • Group sizes ranging from 2 horse to 15 horse paddocks.
  • Improved pastures & access to winter active grasses for most small group options.
  • Full access to all riding trails, facilities and services.
  • From $100 – $118 per week (plus worming every 8 weeks) – depending on the option chosen.

Feed Program Agistment

  • For horses requiring daily feeding, these paddocks have specially designed individual feeding yards.
  • Full access to all riding trails, facilities and services.
  • From $100 per week (paddock cost only) – plus worming every 8 weeks
  • From $48.50 per week for once daily feeding (in addition to paddock cost, agister to supply feed)
  • From $66 per week for once daily feeding plus rugging (in addition to paddock cost, agister to supply feed)

Facilities

The Horse Agistment facilities we provide include:

  • Friendly, social environment with flexible visiting times.
  • More than 80 paddocks available we offer several types of agistment ranging from spelling agistment, riding agistment, small group agistment and a full range of supplementary feed and rugging programs.
  • Agisted horses are kept on improved pastures and most paddocks are sown with winter active grasses.
  • Excellent support from both our Agistment Manager and live-on Agistment Supervisor.
  • Endless trails, dams for swimming horses, 3 arenas, 2 round yards, cross country  course, show-jump, sporting and working equitation gear,  5 wash bays, undercover tie-up areas, holding yards, free float parking & feed storage areas and stables available for casual use.   Lockers for hire and feed bins for sale.
  • Enjoy unlimited access to 3000 acres of privately owned, unspoilt Australian bushland nestled amongst thousands of acres of National Park.
  • Regular Adult and Junior riding clubs, Social rides, various Horsemanship clinics, Agister gymkhanas & other fun days, bi-annual equine dentist days organised plus an end of year Christmas Party.
  • Resident Instructor offering mid-week & weekend lessons, camps and training and advice for new horse owners.
  • Improved pastures and winter active grasses sown

Additional Horse Agistment Services

Should you require services in addition to standard horse agistment services listed, please feel free to contact us. Many extra services can be arranged on a contractual basis with our on-site agistment supervisor. These may include:

  • Catching and attending with horse to meet vet, farrier, dentist, etc
  • First aid treatments as prescribed by a vet – injections, oral medications, bandaging, hosing,  etc.
  • Emergency stabling and care for injured horses e.g. feeding, mucking out stable, any medications that need to be administered (feed, shavings, medication costs, etc. not included)
  • Exercising and training horses
  • A Casual Feeding Service is also available for those owners/horses who don’t require their horses to be fed everyday (like they are in GV’s feeding program). This service is also offered on a contract basis and can be arranged on a contractual basis
  • GV also has a Resident Instructor who can offer mid-week & weekend lessons catering for children and adults from beginner through to advanced, advice for new horse owners, exercising and training horses, Clinics, social activities, demonstrations & camps

Important Information

  • All horses are wormed on arrival and then every 8 weeks. 
  • Weekly hay feeding charges may also apply at certain times of the year.  
  • Other costs, separate to your agistment, may include farrier & veterinarian costs, supplementary feeding & rugging costs etc.
  • You and your horse will be met on arrival at Glenworth Valley. An initial worming paste will be given to your horse and you will receive an information pack which explains in detail how the horse agistment centre operates.
  • On the day of your arrival you are required to complete an Application for Agistment form and either a direct debit or credit card authority form (please bring you BSB and account number or your credit card details) and to pay for one month’s agistment and the initial worming.
  • Horse Agistment fees are paid one month in advance.  Statements of account are forwarded on the 15th of each month. Agistment fees are debited to your account on the last day of the month.
