half day junior beginner camp
(5 – 8 years) A half day camp perfect for entry-level riders. Students will learn how to lead, brush and mount their horses, alongside the basics of riding including walking and trotting.
Morning session 8:15am – 12pm OR Afternoon session 12:45pm – 4:15pm.

beginner level 1 camp
(7 – 16 years) A full day camp perfect for entry-level riders. Students will learn how to lead, tie up, brush, mount and prepare their horses. Alongside skills of ground control, walking and trotting. All before heading off on a scenic, guided trail ride.

beginner level 2 camp
(7 – 16 years) A full day camp for riders at an ability where they can comfortably walk and steer the horse without holding onto the saddle and rise to trot whilst holding onto the saddle.
Students are taught more advanced skills in leading, tying up, brushing and mounting their horse, alongside ground control, walking and trotting.
Before enjoyed a guided trail ride around Glenworth Valley.

(7 – 16 years) For riders who can walk, trot and steer their horse without holding onto the saddle and canter whilst holding onto the saddle
Students will build on the skills they have learnt in previous camps or lessons. Depending on the ability and interests of students, this may include an introduction to jumping or other skills. The day also includes horsemanship skills and a scenic guided trail ride through the valley.

intermediate level 2 camp
(7 – 16 years) For riders who can trot, steer and canter their horse without holding onto the saddle (recommend that they also have basic jumping ability.)
Students will build on the skills they have learnt in previous camps or lessons. Depending on the ability and interests of students, this may include an introduction to jumping or other skills. The day also includes horsemanship skills and a 2 hour scenic guided trail ride through the valley.

intermediate level 3 camp
(7 – 16 years) For riders who can trot, steer and canter their horse without holding onto the saddle whilst riding advanced level horses. Students must also be able to jump and have completed Glenworth Valleys Intermediate Level 2 camp with instructor assessment to move into Intermediate Level 3.
Students will build on the skills they have learnt in previous camps or lessons. Depending on the ability and interests of students, this may include an introduction to jumping or other skills. The day also includes horsemanship skills and a 2 hour scenic guided trail ride through Glenworth Valley.

3 day overnight camp
(9 – 16 years) Students will experience the joys of horse riding and camping over two nights. Days are filled with horseback lessons and adventures with newfound friends, and nights with fun and games around the camp fire.
A supportive and inclusive environment is created for all by experienced instructors which supervise the camp from end-to-end. Activities include lessons (jumping and dressage), games, scenic trail rides, a trip to meet adorable foals, and either a cattle drive or full day spectacular trail ride up Mount Olive.
A Gymkhana is also held the final day with ribbons to win.
Students are accommodated in either our Valley Events Centre or Deluxe 4 person Blackwolf tents. All meals are provided and dietary requirements can be accommodated. Suitable for children aged 9-16 years of age who have completed at minimum an Intermediate Level 1 camp at Glenworth Valley.
An intermediate/advanced groups is also available, suitable for children who can walk, trot, canter and steer their horse without holding on to the saddle and already have basic jumping ability.

Have Your Own Certified Helmet? Present your current Australian Standards approved (AS/NZ 3838) or recognised equivalent horse riding helmet for inspection on the day of your activity. Non expired, AS/NZ certification label must be visible to receive a refund of your helmet hire fee.
Bring own food and drinks
We recommend wearing full length pants. Jodhpurs, moleskins or jeans are ideal.
Sunscreen, a sun hat, suitable sun wise riding attire (such as a long sleeve shirt), waterproof rain jacket and a warm jumper for the day. Swimmers and a towel are recommended in summer.
Fully enclosed footwear such as riding boots or shoes with a flat sole and small heel is best. Riding boots are available to hire or you can wear sneakers however they are not recommended. Sandals, thongs or large bulky shoes with a heavy tread are not permitted.
For safety reasons backpacks, handbags etc are not to be worn whilst riding.
For safety and animal welfare, there is a maximum weight limit of 85kg
Please be aware that our maximum weight limit may be lower than 85kg and is subject to variation according to what horses are available for riding on the day of your visit.
We are unable to guarantee that a suitable horse will be available on the day of your visit however every effort will be made to provide you with a suitable horse.
In addition to a rider’s weight, we do also take into account a rider’s height to weight ratio, riding experience, general muscle tone and fitness when assessing whether we have a suitable horse available.
