sustainable camping

in unspoilt nature

Glenworth Valley is not like a caravan park. Ecology and sustainability are at the heart of what we do.

To bring the joys of family-friendly bush camping to the region, our campsites are kept in a natural state, and most are unpowered sites, with limited powered campsites available. Most campsites are scattered along Popran Creek in large open fields, which our 200 horses also call home during times when campers are not visiting. As such, you shouldn’t expect the grounds to be manicured or have all the comforts and facilities of a regular caravan park, and appreciate the beauty and ruggedness of unspoilt wilderness.

Hang out with Glenworth Valley’s super cute farmyard animals.

There’s Scottish Highland cows, miniature goats, emus, ducks, chickens & more to pat.

An iconic Glenworth Valley sight. Watch up to 250 horses run through the Valley in a crescendo of hooves and energy.

We visited on 1st November, and despite the rain, we had such an amazing experience! My daughter absolutely loved it, the horse was calm and well cared for. Rei and Ferrero were wonderful and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The views were absolutely beautiful, and the whole place had such a peaceful atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back again!

Visited Glenworth Valley over the October long weekend for a day trip. It was busy with a lot of people doing the same or staying in the camp grounds however there is so much space it didn’t feel jam packed. We arrived relatively early as my son and I were booked on an early session on the quad bikes. Was my first time riding one and it does take a little bit to get used to them however the induction session before heading out on the trail to the track was very helpful. It was cool riding out along the trail out to the track through the bush land. Also good to get the laps around the track and open up the throttle. We found a nice spot for lunch down by the creek which kept my youngest entertained for a couple of hours and plenty of shade for the rest of the fam to chill out.My Daughter was booked in for her first horse ride that afternoon. She was a bit nervous as she has a mild intellectual disability as was my wife as all the slots were full so neither her or I could go with her. Luckily the staff were amazing and made her feel really at ease on the horse and she was able to enjoy the two hour ride. It’s something she’s wanted to do for years but anxiety has always held her back, so thanks to the Glenworth Valley team on the horses this day for making this a reality for her.We hung around for the daily horse stampede which was an awesome spectacle to witness. All in all a great day out and about and not that far from Sydney to drive up and back in the day.
