This intermediate–advanced horse ride is designed for experienced riders seeking an authentic and relaxed riding experience.

Over 2.5 hours, you’ll explore lesser-known trails and scenic areas of Glenworth Valley, taking in the natural beauty and varied terrain at a comfortable pace.

There will be opportunities for light cantering where conditions allow, making this a great way to improve your riding skills and connect with other intermediate–advanced riders who share a love for horses and the outdoors.

This ride is best suited to riders who have ridden at least 20 times and are confident at walk and trot without holding onto the saddle.

3hr advanced ride

This advanced horse ride is designed for advanced riders only, offering a more elevated, challenging and social riding experience alongside others at the same skill level.

Over the course of 3 hours, you’ll explore new and lesser-known areas of Glenworth Valley, taking in the natural beauty and varied terrain at a more advanced pace.

The ride includes opportunities to walk, trot and canter where conditions allow, making it a great way to connect with other confident riders who share a genuine passion for horses and the outdoors.

This ride is best suited to riders with 50+ rides under their belt who are confident at walk, trot and canter, and looking for a more social and exploratory experience in a authentic setting.

intermediate - advanced ride

Participating in the activities we offer is risky.  Before making a booking with us, each participant and/or guardian acting on behalf of minor participants in your group is required to read and agree they understand and accept our Risk Warning  describing some of the typical risks of participating in the activity in our Risk Warning and Waiver of Liability Contract and  Terms and Conditions  On the day of your activity booking, each participant and/or guardian acting on behalf of minor participants will also be required to sign our Risk Warning and Waiver of Liability Contract before being allowed to participate. Please click on the links above, to read and accept this information, before finalising your booking.

Helmets are compulsory for all riders. Helmets can be hired for an additional $8 fee.

Have Your Own Certified Helmet in line with current Equestrian Australia Standards and within 5 years of the manufacture date? Present it for inspection on the day of your activity. A non expired certification label must be visible to receive a refund of your helmet hire fee.

We recommend wearing full-length pants. Jodhpurs or jeans are ideal.

Fully enclosed footwear such as riding boots, sneakers or shoes with a flat sole is best. A limited amount of riding boots are available to hire. Sandals, thongs, steel caps or large bulky shoes with a heavy tread are not permitted.

For the safety and comfort of all riders, air safety vests are not permitted during our rides. Standard safety vests are welcome for guests who wish to wear one.

For safety reasons backpacks, handbags etc are not to be worn whilst riding.             

Remember to bring sunscreen, insect repellent and a brimmed hat.

The minimum age limit for the tour is 12 years. 

For safety and animal welfare, there is a maximum weight limit of 100kg

Please be aware that our maximum weight limit may be lower than 100kg and is subject to variation according to what horses are available for riding on the day of your visit.

We are unable to guarantee that a suitable horse will be available on the day of your visit however every effort will be made to provide you with a suitable horse.

In addition to a rider’s weight, we do also take into account a rider’s height to weight ratio, riding experience, general muscle tone and fitness when assessing whether we have a suitable horse available.

Guests in your party who exceed the 100kg weight limit will not be able to ride. However, they can opt for an alternative experience, such as quad biking, abseiling, or kayaking (subject to availability), or receive a credit that can be redeemed for any Glenworth Valley product.
