Glenworth Valley runs guided abseiling tours on natural cliffs at 69 Cooks Road, Glenworth Valley, on the NSW Central Coast, about 20 minutes from Hornsby and Gosford.

How long is the abseiling tour?

The guided abseiling tour runs for 2.5 hours. Tours start daily at 10:30am and 2pm, with check-in 30 minutes before.

What is the minimum age for abseiling?

The minimum age is 7 and the minimum weight is 30kg. Children under 14 must be supervised on site by an adult, who doesn't need to take part.

Do I need experience to go abseiling?

No experience is needed. There are beginner descents for first-timers and more advanced abseils for experienced climbers, and your guide provides full instruction before you start.

How much does abseiling cost?

Abseiling starts from $120 per person, with off-peak pricing available.

What should I wear for abseiling?

What to Wear

We recommend wearing enclosed footwear such as joggers or hiking boots.

Bring a hair tie if you have long hair.

Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a day pack, lunch, water and snacks.

If there is the possibility of rain, please bring your wet weather gear. Disposable raincoats are available for purchase.

Group & Private Bookings

Security bond – Please note groups of 6 or more participants will be required to provide a minimum credit card pre-authorisation of $500 prior to arrival. The pre-authorisation is a temporary freeze of funds on your credit card. Provided there are no issues or incidents on your tour, the pre-authorisation will be released by your financial institution within 5-7 business days.
